| Frequently Asked Questions... |
Why would I want to use your service instead of an in-house transcriptionist? In-house transcriptionists generally have other duties along with transcription, which results in many interruptions and often times not-so-good quality because they have difficulty concentrating on their work. Along with an hourly rate, in-house transcriptionists often have benefits and take time off for personal time, illnesses and vacations. The cost for an in-house transcriptionist is well above the cost of our service. In addition, your dictation likely does not get done when your transcriptionist is absent, which is not a problem with our service. We're there in your office, every day! |

What if I need another copy of a note or letter? Getting a copy of a note is generally not a problem. While we are not the "keeper of the records" we do maintain a copy of all notes for 30 days, after which time the originals are deleted. |
We want our notes on sticky labels, can you do that? Certainly! We can print your notes on 8 x 2 transcription labels or white paper, print your letters on your letterhead, and even print the envelopes. We will duplicate the way your notes look now, or we will format them to your specifications. We use high quality ink jet printers that give your notes and correspondence a professional look. We do not, however, print on existing pages. Because of the liability risk involved, we will not accept patient charts from your office. |

I'm concerned about confidentiality. We share your concerns about confidentiality and take steps to prevent compromise. Our contractors and office staff are regularly instructed on the importance of maintaining the strictest of confidentiality when dealing with medical records. Our contractors do not print notes, so there is little chance, if any, confidential information will be released. We shred all office copies and spoiled copies of notes and all information stored on magnetic media is encrypted to maintain confidentiality. Computer files are sent over a dedicated telephone line (computer-to-computer) that prevents others from intercepting transmissions. Access to the computer is via unique usernames and passwords to prevent unauthorized telephone access to our computer equipment. |

What if we have a stat job, can you handle that? Absolutely. We can take care of your stat jobs quickly and efficiently. |
Do you charge for pickup and delivery? No, we do not charge for pickup and delivery when they are made as a part of our regular routine of visiting your office each day. However, extra pickups and deliveries, such as when the work is not ready or you have a stat job, do result in an extra charge. |
One of our doctors has a foreign accent. Can you handle that? Of course. Many of the physicians we currently work with have accents from all over the world. Accents do not pose a problem for us. |
